Majona Natural Park
Majona Natural Park / Parque Natural Majona – located northwest of the town of San Sebastián, this eco-tourist destination is reachable via car (by driving on road “GM-1”). Countless ravines, cliffs and forests are found here. Visitors will also come across a few uninhabited hamlets (such as Taguluche, Juel and Enchereda), where the land is still cultivated on occasion, and cattle is still bred. The wildlife found here include aboriginal invertebrates, bats, and a great number of birds. La Majona also has cultural heritage sites, such as the Natural Caves (Cuevas Naturales), sacrificial altars, cazoletas and canals located in the Barranco de Majona and Lomo de Majona.
